Ceramic Fiber Strips
MaxWool™ Ceramic Fiber Blanket is composed of long flexible, interwoven fibers manufactured by the “spun” process yielding a strong, lightweight, durable product. This material can be used for applications with temperatures from 1000°F (538°C) to 2600°F (1425°C). MaxWool™ Blankets have high tensile strength for longer life and durability. Maxwool Ceramic Fiber Blankets contain no binders and are completely inorganic.

MaxWool Ceramic Fiber Blankets come in 2 chemical formulations: HPS (2300⁰F/1260⁰C) and HTZ (2600⁰F/1427⁰C). HPS Blanket is made from a blend of Alumina and Silica. This product can be used up to 2300⁰ intermittently and continuous use up to 2150⁰F (1177⁰C). Our 2600⁰ Blanket, HTZ is made from a blend of Alumina-Zirconia- Silica and can be used to a continuous use temperature of 2450⁰F (1343⁰C). Both products have high tensile strength and durability for longer life.
MaxWool Ceramic Fiber Blankets can be used in various applications which include Petrochemical, Refining, Steel, Ceramic, Glass, Fire Protection and Power Generation. This product can be fabricated and shop installed for most applications.
MaxWool Ceramic Fiber Blankets are easy to install, require no curing or dry out time. Rapid heat up can be achieved with all MaxWool Ceramic Fiber blankets; they will not crack or spall and are thermal shock resistant. This product saves energy. It reduces heat loss and heat storage versus other hard refractory products.
MaxWool Ceramic Fiber Blankets have excellent chemical resistance. The only exceptions are Hydrofluoric and Phosphoric acid. MaxWool Ceramic Fiber Blankets can be manufactured in densities of 4#, 6#, 8#. The thickness of MaxWool Blankets are ½”, 1”, 1½” and 2”. Special sizes and lengths are available upon request.
